Army taps two vendors for ITEP preliminary design review

The Army has selected two contractors to produce early versions of an updated engine for its AH-64 Apache and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. The service issued a pair of contracts "for procurement of a preliminary design review for a new technology centerline improved turbine engine" for the Apache and Black Hawk, according to an Aug. 22 announcement.
