DOD wants to classify more information on future budget plans

The Pentagon wants Congress to back off a requirement that it establish an unclassified database detailing its five-year budget plans. At present, the Defense Department's Future Years Defense Program database is classified, but a provision in the Fiscal Year 2018 National Defense Authorization Act would require an unclassified version be submitted to Congress.
