Navy still analyzing options for over-the-horizon missile for LCS

The Navy is still reviewing its options for carrying out a top officer's directive to deploy over-the-horizon missile systems aboard all forward deploying Littoral Combat Ships starting next year. Rear Adm. Peter Fanta, surface warfare director in the office of the chief of naval operations (N96), dictated in a Sept. 17 memorandoum to the program executive officers for LCS and Integrated Warfare Systems, respectively, that the PEOs should procure and install an OTH missile on LCS "as soon as practicable."...
