Navy will release CBARS solicitation within the next few months

The Navy intends to release a draft request for proposals within the next few months for the highly anticipated unmanned airborne tanker operating from an aircraft carrier, according to a service official. Rear Adm. Mark Darrah, program executive officer for unmanned aviation and strike weapons, wrote in a Feb. 22 statement to Inside Defense that the draft RFP for the RAQ-25 Carrier-Based Aerial Refueling System would be issued in late fiscal year 2016 but the Navy has not yet determined...
