The greatest concern for the Marine Corps' aviation chief is the lack of spare parts to sustain the Joint Strike Fighter. Lt. Gen. Jon Davis, deputy commandant for aviation, said Feb. 4 during a House Armed Services tactical air and land forces subcommittee hearing that full-rate production for the F-35B short-takeoff-and-vertical-landing variant is slated for fiscal year 2018.
