In an Aug. 31, 2010, letter to Defense Secretary Robert Gates, House Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Howard "Buck" McKeon (R-CA), House Armed Services readiness subcommittee Ranking Member Randy Forbes (R-VA) and House Armed Services oversight and investigations subcommittee Rob Wittman (R-VA) demand documents related to the legalities of the decision to close the U.S. Joint Forces Command (JFCOM).
