Senate Defense-Spending Bill Provides MEADS Funding, $604.5 Billion For DOD
The Senate Appropriations defense subcommittee has chosen to fund the controversial Medium Extended Air Defense System in its version of the fiscal year 2013 defense-spending bill -- a decision that puts the subcommittee at odds with the other three defense committees, which zeroed out the $400.9 million request, according to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).
