Officials: Navy Thinking Creatively About LX(R) Designs

PANAMA CITY, FL -- With the military shifting its focus to the Pacific Ocean and the Navy having just one more chance in the foreseeable future to develop the replacement to the LSD amphibious dock landing ship, or LX(R), the sea service's leadership is thinking creatively about how to best design the vessel, according to service officials.
