Lawmakers defer DOD's request to reprogram dollars for two new starts

Lawmakers have deferred the Pentagon's request to reprogram millions of dollars in fiscal year 2016 for two research and development new start programs. In response to a reprogramming action Defense Department Comptroller Mike McCord submitted in May, the Senate Armed Services Committee deferred dollars for a defense-wide manufacturing science and technology program and a wargaming and support for strategic analysis program.
