Lockheed: ALIS False-Positive Reports Cut In Half With Newest Software

Lockheed Martin said this week that it is making considerable strides toward reducing errant maintenance task orders produced by the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter's maintenance and logistics information system, cutting the false positive rate for later-model jets in half. Lockheed is the prime contractor for the Joint Strike Fighter and is developing the platform's Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), which is tasked with managing prognostics and maintenance task orders for the jet.
