Lockheed Divestiture Adds Fuel To Changes In Services Market

Lockheed Martin's announcement last week that it plans to sell or spin off services work worth about $6 billion is likely to boost the reshaping already underway in the market, executives and analysts say. Lockheed said it will begin reviewing its government information technology infrastructure services business and its technical services work. These areas, which include services related to commercial cybersecurity, air traffic management and government healthcare IT, employ about 17,000.
