Senate appropriators release three-month CR proposal

The Senate Appropriations Committee has released a proposal for a short-term, stopgap spending measure, or continuing resolution, to keep the federal government operating through Dec. 9. The three-month CR package includes $1.067 trillion in discretionary funding and an Overseas Contingency Operations account of $74.096 billion. The Senate voted Thursday to proceed with a motion to consider the measure. The measure also provides $1.1 billion in supplemental funding to combat the Zika virus and $500 million for disaster recovery in Louisiana...
