Army updates RFI for Future Vertical Lift aircraft

The Army has clarified its requirements for the first Future Vertical Lift aircraft ahead of a key acquisition decision this week. The service on Oct. 24 released an updated request for information for Capability Set 3 ahead of a materiel development decision scheduled for Oct. 28. According to the document, the Army and Marine Corps “have continued to refine the FVL concept in terms of requirements, acquisition strategy, and cost estimates” since the initial RFI release in February .
