Maximilian Kwiatkowski was an associate editor of Inside the Army until February 2019. Prior to covering defense, he was an intern reporter in Springfield, IL, covering state politics for the State Journal-Register. Other publications he's worked at include the Madison Press in central Ohio and Crain's Chicago Business. Maximilian is finishing a master's degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield and has two bachelor's degrees from Loyola University Chicago. He was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs.
