Acting DIA Director Picked for Permanent Position

The president has nominated Rear Adm. Lowell Jacoby as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Defense Department announced today. Jacoby has been the acting director since July. He will also attain a third star if confirmed by Congress. Before joining DIA as acting director, Jacoby was the director for intelligence (J-2) on the Joint Staff.
