Air Force adds five more helicopters to combat rescue helo buy

Sikorsky will build five test HH-60W combat rescue helicopters for the Air Force after the service approved a $203 million contract option to the $1.2 billion engineering, manufacturing and development contract that was awarded in June 2014, the company announced this week. The system demonstration test articles will be built starting in 2018 for delivery in 2019 and 2020, Sikorsky said in a Jan. 31 release.
