Air Force Awards TRW $285 Million Distributed Flight Training Contract

The Air Force has awarded TRW a $284.7 million contract to set up and operate a networked, real-time distributed flight training system, the company announced yesterday. The Air Force's Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, selected TRW from a field of four vendors upon completion of the first phase of the Distributed Mission Training (DMT) contract, which required contractors to refine their proposals, technical analyses, and system parameters, the company said.
