Air Force to begin JLTV buy in FY-17 to replace humvees

The Air Force plans to start buying 226 Oshkosh Joint Light Tactical Vehicles in fiscal year 2017 to replace earlier humvees. Of the total batch, the service will procure 46 of both the utility and heavy gun carrier variants, plus 48 general-purpose vehicles with FY-18 money to be fielded starting in fiscal year 2019.
