Air Force closes KC-46 cargo lock deficiency

The Air Force announced today it has resolved a critical deficiency with the KC-46 cargo locking system and lifted a three-month ban on the tanker’s cargo and passenger operations. The service has completed initial installation and testing of prime contractor Boeing's cargo lock design and officially closed the deficiency Dec. 18.
