Air Force to compete programs to demo ABMS effects, taps Skyborg

The Air Force is considering the Skyborg autonomous drone research effort as the first program to demonstrate effects for the Advanced Battle Management System. Will Roper, the service's acquisition executive, told reporters at the Air Force Association's annual conference this week that he wants to compete programs to access funding in the ABMS budget and showcase intended capabilities.
