Air Force, JPO working to identify F-35 'pathfinders' for agile software development

The Air Force is working with the F-35 joint program office to identify possible "pathfinder" projects to test its ability to incorporate agile software development into large programs of record. Service acquisition executive Will Roper told reporters Friday the program hasn't made any decisions about whether to pursue pathfinder efforts or which areas it would focus on, but he noted that because of the current focus on sustainment, a project targeting the Autonomic Logistics Information System or mission data files...
