Air Force to launch MILSATCOM experiments using commercial space internet

The Air Force wants to leverage commercial industry's anticipated development of space internet satellite constellations to experiment with and establish a seamless communication and data-sharing capability. The service announced this week it plans to launch a new program, Defense Experimentation Using Commercial Space Internet, that will develop "path-agnostic communications" enabled by "resilient, high-bandwidth, high-availability Air Force communications and data-sharing capabilities."
