Air Force looks to procure four Super Tucanos for Afghans

The Air Force is searching for companies able to produce four fixed-wing A-29 Super Tucano light-air support aircraft for the Afghan Air Force, as it works toward full operational capability with 20 aircraft expected to reach the country by December 2018. Afghan troops have received eight of the light-attack aircraft so far this year and are expected to reach full operational capability by April 2017 upon the delivery of four more A-29s.
