Air Force Looks To Reprogram FY-00 Money To Put Smaller Bombs On B-2

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Michael Ryan said today the service hopes to reprogram money within its fiscal year 2000 budget to modify B-2 and B-1 bombers to carry up to 82 500-pound bombs. Ryan told the House Appropriations defense subcommittee the service has been studying the idea.
