Air Force's Sixth WGS Vehicle Takes Off From The Cape

The Air Force tonight successfully launched its sixth Wideband Global Satellite Communications spacecraft from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL. The Boeing-built satellite launched aboard a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta IV booster at 8:29 p.m. -- the beginning of its 49-minute launch window. The satellite will provide the Air Force and its international partners with expanded communication coverage and enhanced capabilities.
