Air National Guard requires three more search-and-rescue helicopters to meet mission needs

Air National Guard pilots need three more Sikorsky HH-60G search-and-rescue helicopters to meet their combat and homeland-security mission requirements, the Air Force said in a June report to the Senate Armed Services Committee. To replenish its inventory with fresher aircraft, the Air Force is buying and converting 21 Army UH-60Ls into Pave Hawks.
