Aldridge Approves 15 New ACTDs; Three Others Lack Funding

The Defense Department today announced the list of fiscal year 2002 advanced concept technology demonstrations, the majority of which are directly tied to the war on terrorism, officials said at a Pentagon briefing. After consultations with the warfighting commanders, the Joint Requirements Oversight Council validated 15 ACTDs for FY-02, but funding is only available for 12, the head of DOD's ACTD office said.
