Anti-Aircraft Weapons Found In Afghanistan Near Where U.S. Aircraft Were Fired Upon

A coalition reconnaissance team patrolling Afghanistan earlier this week discovered a 15-ton al Qaeda or Taliban weapons cache that included anti-aircraft weapons, Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Gregory Newbold, Joint Staff operations director, said today. The stockpile was about 10 miles from one of six locations that AC-130 gunships attacked in the early morning hours July 1, he said.
