Appropriations panel adds Black Hawks, Lakotas in FY-18

Congressional appropriators intend to provide a funding boost for procurement of several Army aviation platforms in fiscal year 2018, but have elected to hold others steady. The House Appropriations Committee passed a spending bill June 29 that includes additional airframes for the Army, addressing some of the shortfalls identified in the service's unfunded requirements list.
