Appropriators Add Funds for Stryker Ambulances, Apaches, Chinooks

The House Appropriations committee is recommending the addition of nearly $340 million to the fiscal year 2009 supplemental appropriations bill to buy 260 more Stryker vehicles. The recommendation represents a win for Stryker manufacturer General Dynamics Land Systems, which has campaigned heavily for additional money for Stryker ambulances in FY-09.
