Army Announces Next Phase Of Aerial Common Sensor Program

The Army has announced its intention to award a contract for the next phase of the Aerial Common Sensor program, an airborne sensor that will locate, track and disseminate time-sensitive data to soldiers at all echelons. Last year, the Army gave Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman separate $35 million contracts for the program's technology development phase. That phase ends next month.
