Army awards Black Hawk multiyear contract for FY-17 to FY-21

The Defense Department has awarded Sikorsky a multiyear procurement contract worth up to $3.8 billion for Black Hawks for the U.S. Army and Saudi Arabia, according to a pair of recent announcements. The award includes a base quantity of 257 aircraft, divided among 142 UH-60M models and 75 HH-60Ms for the Army and 40 UH-60Ms for the Saudi Arabian National Guard. The Army obligated more than $1.1 billion in fiscal year 2010 and FY-17 "other funds" on the award date...
