Army backs modernization priorities in FY-22 request despite budget hit

The Army has managed to protect its top modernization programs despite taking a hit in its fiscal year 2022 budget request, according to budget documents released last week. The service’s budget request for FY-22 is $173 billion, a decrease of $5 billion from what the service requested last year and $3.6 billion from what was enacted in FY-21.
