Army Combat Vehicles Get Congressional Plus-Ups In FY-14 Spending Bill

While the Army's Ground Combat Vehicle program is poised for termination due to dramatic cuts in the fiscal year 2014 defense spending bill, an array of other combat vehicle programs received fresh injections of unrequested cash from Congress. The Stryker program requested $374 million in FY-14, but received $419 million, according to the bill. The additional $45 million will be used to support the purchase of a third brigade of Stryker Double-V Hull vehicles from contractor General Dynamics Land Systems...
