Army considering optionally manned capabilities for Future Vertical Lift

The Army is considering including optional manning requirements for some of the capabilities envisioned under the Future Vertical Lift effort to eventually replace the military's rotorcraft systems. The Marines in particular want optionally manned aircraft, Lt. Gen. Jon Davis, the deputy commandant for aviation, revealed last month. Col.
