Army to consolidate mission command systems, increase interoperability

The Army is preparing to consolidate its mission command hardware and software for operational units, employing "an aggressive timetable" for fielding to over 400 units from battalion through corps. According to a release from the program executive office for command, control and communications-tactical, the goal is to field as many as 280 units over the next year, with the remainder in 2019.
