Army delivers hypersonic ground equipment for first battery

The Army finished delivery Sept. 28 of the ground equipment for the Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon to the battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA, that is training to field the first battery of American hypersonic missiles, the service announced Oct. 7. The delivery beat the Sept. 30 deadline to provide the ground equipment for the missile, which the service plans to field in fiscal year 2023, according to Col.
