Army Eyes Sole-Source Contract With GDLS For Flat-Bottom Stryker Reset

The Army has announced it will give Stryker manufacturer General Dynamics Land Systems a contract next year to refurbish a legacy portion of the fleet displaced by newer variants featuring double-V hulls for improved protection. The work will entail bringing the flat-bottom vehicles to a "fully mission-capable" condition so they can be re-issued for "forecasted unit fieldings and other requirements," the service wrote in a July 21 notice on the Federal Business Opportunities website.
