Army Forced to Abort PAC-3 Test

The Army aborted a Patriot Advanced Capability-3 intercept test today after experiencing problems during the target launch sequence, according to service sources. The flight sequence was stopped before the PAC-3 missile or the intended target, a Hera missile, were launched over White Sands Missile Range, NM. A source said there were no problems with either the interceptor or the target itself. Instead, the official said, the reason for aborting the flight was "a range problem."
