General Dynamics Land Systems announced today that it has been awarded $118 million by the Army to convert 66 flat-bottom Stryker vehicles into more protected, double-V hull configurations. InsideDefense.com broke news last month that Heidi Shyu, the Army's acquisition executive, signed off on the purchase of 337 DVHs, along with making the new hulls a requirement for every Stryker in the fleet.
