Army issues RFP to support next-gen key cryptographic device

The Army yesterday issued a request for proposals for its Next Generation Load Device-Medium, an effort to modernize cryptographic key load devices for Joint Service network security. The network-enabled device will support all command echelons across the services and allow network managers to reconfigure cryptographic products, improve operational environment awareness, conduct remote software downloads and perform Over-The-Network-Keying, according to a Nov. 18 Army press release.
