Army issues solicitation for FMTV A2

The Army released a request for proposals for the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles A2 production effort, which is designed to allow the Army to provide bolt-on armor protection for the vehicles. According to documents for the RFP released Oct. 13 on the Federal Business Opportunities website, the FMTV A2 is expected to "allow the ability for increased underbody armor protection, mobility, ride quality, safety, and electrical power generation."
