Army issues stop-work order following bid protest of AeroVironment Switchblade contract

The Army has issued a stop-work order following a bid protest filed with the Government Accountability Office to award a five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract worth up to $990 million to AeroVironment for the Switchblade loitering munitions system. A Securities and Exchange Commission notice states the stop-work order is in effect while GAO considers the protest, but does not impact any of AeroVironment’s other “contracts or commitments, including those related to its Loitering Munitions systems.” GAO is expected to...
