Army-Navy Agreement Lays Out Cost Split For JHSVs

A new memorandum of agreement transferring the Army's Joint High Speed Vessels to the Navy states that the Army will provide funds to cover the vessels' basic operating costs, but the Navy will be responsible for mission costs. According to a table attached to the MOA, which was signed by the Navy Secretary on May 2, the Army plans to transfer $605 million to the Navy to cover the cost of the JHSVs between FY-12 and FY-17.
