Army preparing new sole-source Javelin production contract

The Army has put contractors on notice about plans to hire a contractor joint venture on a sole-source basis -- presumably the incumbent Lockheed Martin-Raytheon team -- to manufacture Javelin anti-tank missiles. According to an April 19 sources-sought notice on the Federal Business Opportunities website, the Army envisions an annual production of 2,100 missiles and 100 Command Launch Units between fiscal years 2018 and 2026.
