Army realigns $47.8 million in FY-22 divestitures

The Army, after eliminating seven programs in fiscal year 2022, will reinvest $47.8 million into next generation capabilities that support multidomain operations, according to the service's budget request released today. The Army since FY-20 has canceled funding to 105 and reduced funding to an additional 169 procurement programs through its Night Court process, which realigns research, development and acquisition funding toward the service’s modernization priorities.
