Army Scores Hit In PAC-3 Intercept Test

The Army announced today that a Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missile successfully intercepted a mock ballistic missile during an operational test held on Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Preliminary information indicated a second PAC-3 missile failed to launch during the test. Army doctrine calls for two interceptor missiles to be fired at an incoming theater ballistic missile target.
