Army To Seek $130 Billion In FY-14 Base Budget Request

The Army is seeking $130 billion in base budget funding for fiscal year 2014 -- $5 billion less than requested in FY-13, according to internal budget documents obtained by InsideDefense.com. Among other things, the Army's request protects investments in network modernization; new combat and tactical vehicles; and the military vehicle industrial base, the documents show.
