Army seeks ideas for 'common gun' to be put on future helicopter fleet

The Army has published a request for information about guns that could be mounted on the service's Future Vertical Lift choppers. The note to industry, published Jan. 21 on the Federal Business Opportunities website, comes amid a "focused research program" by the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center called the "Common Gun Study," according to the Army.
