Army seeks responses for Abrams, Stryker upgrades

As the Army continues its efforts to decrease the weight of the Abrams tank while adding technologies, the service is seeking information on industry's ability to support the next iteration of the vehicle. Responses are due Aug. 10 to a market survey asking vendors to describe their experience with certain capabilities: fire control (e.g. direct fire weapons, laser technologies); ballistics; sight integration, or Forward Looking Infrared; laser protection; in-house modeling, simulation, test and evaluation; and integrated logistic support.
